Sunday Reflect and Rewrite Prompt

Hello, writers!

Sundays are for fresh starts, quiet reflection, and setting intentions for the week ahead. Today, we’re focusing on letting go of one limiting belief that holds us back and rewriting the narrative we tell ourselves.





Step 1: Identify the Belief

We all carry beliefs that shape how we see ourselves and our potential. Some empower us, while others keep us stuck. Take a moment to identify a limiting belief that has been weighing you down. Maybe it sounds like:

  • “I’m not good enough.”

  • “Success is for other people, not me.”

  • “I always fail when I try something new.”

Write this belief down. Acknowledging it is the first step toward letting it go.


Step 2: Challenge the Belief

Now, take a step back and ask yourself:

  • Is this belief absolutely true?

  • Where did it come from? Was it something you were told or something you assumed?

  • Has there ever been a time when this belief wasn’t true?

More often than not, limiting beliefs are rooted in past experiences or fear—not in reality. Challenging them helps loosen their grip and opens the door for a new perspective.


Step 3: Rewrite the Story

You have the power to shift your narrative. Reframe your limiting belief into something empowering:

  • Instead of “I’m not good enough,” try “I am learning and growing every day.”

  • Instead of “I always fail,” reframe it as “Every challenge teaches me something valuable.”

Write down your new belief. Say it out loud. Let it sink in.


Step 4: Reflect & Affirm

How does this new belief make you feel? Lighter? More hopeful? Now, think of one small action you can take today to reinforce it. Maybe it’s speaking up, applying for that opportunity, or simply reminding yourself that you are capable.

Write a personal affirmation to support this mindset shift.

  • “I am enough.”

  • “I trust in my ability to grow and succeed.”

  • “I choose to believe in myself.”


As you move into the new week, carry this new belief with you. Your thoughts shape your reality—choose the ones that lift you up. ✨
